The Sacrament of Confirmation

In the Sacrament of Confirmation we receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit through the anointing with oil and the laying of hands by the Bishop or a priest appointed by him.  Through this sacrament we commit to living a life of maturity in the Christian faith.  Confirmation is celebrated at Immaculate Conception every two years for those in the  9th and 10th grades. 

Children’s preparation for this sacrament is provided through our Religious Education programs; adults are prepared through our OCIA program.
