Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is usually given to a group of children preparing to receive their first communion. It could also be with children or adults through the OCIA Program.

The sacrament of Reconciliation gives us an opportunity to seek forgiveness for our sins and express our sorrow for things we have done wrong.  Commonly called "Confession" is a place of healing not a place of judgment or punishment.  Only ordained priests have the faculty of absolving sins from the authority of the Church in the name of Jesus Christ.  What a penitent makes known to the priest remains “sealed” because the confidentiality of confession is absolute.

Confessions are heard in the Church on Saturdays from 3:00 - 4:00 pm.
