Finance Council

In accordance with Diocesan policy, “Each parish is to have a Finance Council which is regulated by universal law as well as norms issued by the Diocesan Bishop.” Canon law requires that every parish must establish a Finance Council. The Finance Council assists the Pastor with all matters that pertain to the parish’s financial and physical condition. 

Directives governing a parish Finance Council are found in the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston Temporalities. A copy is retained by the Financial Manager and the Pastor.

The Finance Council at Immaculate Conception meets on a quarterly basis in the parish center typically around 3:00 pm. The Pastor, Father Casey Mahone, presides over the meetings. The parish Financial Manager will provide financial records pertaining to the topics of discussion at each meeting.
