Update September 23

Important Notice:  The Diocese recently transitioned to a new electronic system which will simplify the process for the tracking and documenting of Safe Environment compliance. As part of the conversion, the time period for background checks was reduced from every five years to every three years for all employees and volunteers. You will receive an email within the next few days if your background check was completed prior to October 2019.  The email will provide account information and instructions on how to complete this process electronically.  Any new volunteer should contact Anita to obtain information on how to begin the process.  No one is permitted to volunteer without first completing a background check and the other two components of the safe environment process. Please contact Anita Petrella at 304-481-3222 or [email protected] with any questions or assistance with completing the electronic documents.

The U.S. bishops just released the “National Synthesis of the People of God in the United States of America for the Diocesan Phase of the 2021-2023 Synod.”  A copy is attached for your convenience.
